Backorder Chosen Product Offering provide the ability for a party making an inbound purchase to indicate that any quantity not available should be backordered. A notification is sent to the party when the offering is in stock. Back ordering may involve splitting an item on the purchase into the quantity that is available and what is not available. Or the party making the purchase can change the quantity to what is available by using the Change Product Offering Purchase Selection process.
